Description
The prince’s carabinieri company (in French, the Compagnie des carabiniers du prince ) is a ceremonial unit in service at the Palace of the Princes of Monaco , founded by Prince Honor IV in 1817 .
Initially he owned the name “Guard Company”.
The task of the Company is to protect the person of the sovereign prince and his family, especially on solemn civil, military and religious occasions. It is therefore present at every public occasion within the Principality of Monaco where the prince is present and often also makes use of the collaboration of the Monegasque Police .
The Body also has the defense of the Palace of the Princes, the summer residence of the sovereign and their immediate proximity.
